About Dr Maya Lloyd

A wife and mother of three children, clinical psychologist Dr Maya Lloyd has worked in both the private and public sector for many years prior to establishing Kenmore Family Psychology.

Helping people make the most of their lives is Maya’s ultimate mission. When people find themselves facing what seems like insurmountable challenges, Maya assists them to develop a better understanding of what they can and cannot control so they can attempt to move beyond the difficulties.  Dr Maya Lloyd is a reputable family psychologist in Kenmore, in Brisbane’s west.

Career

During her time in the public sector, Dr Maya Lloyd spent ten years in child and youth mental health working with children, adolescents, families and parents with a range of presenting concerns. This included working with families experiencing pregnancy and postnatal concerns.
Maya has also worked with adults suffering from depression, anxiety, grief and loss issues, workplace stress and adjustment to difficult life circumstances.

Studies

Maya completed her studies at the University of Queensland, attaining a Master of Clinical Psychology followed by a PhD at the Queensland University of Technology. During her studies, she published several articles: (nee Griffiths).

Dr Maya Lloyd is fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She is also a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS), and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists and is recognised by medicare as a provider of clinical psychology services.
